Product description
Made from medical silicone, these liners provide maximum comfort, soft tissue stabilization, and even pressure distribution. The liner for lower leg amputations, made from medical silicone, is designed to stabilize soft tissues and evenly distribute pressure on the distal part of the limb. Thanks to different material densities, this liner offers the perfect balance between comfort and durability for patients with varying activity levels. FEATURES: Medical Silicone: Made from high-strength medical silicone, easy to clean and wear-resistant. Distal Cushion: A 14.3 mm thick cushion provides additional comfort and skin protection, especially in scar areas, helping to reduce rotational moments and distal impacts during loading. Outer Covering: The liner has an outer textile covering that provides high abrasion resistance and ensures a long service life by absorbing friction between the silicone and the rigid prosthesis base. Matrix: The liner features a 10 cm long matrix that stabilizes the limb's soft tissues, limiting their stretching and minimizing the "piston" effect during walking. LINER FUNCTIONS: Silicone tightly adheres to the skin, preventing irritation and friction. Improved blood circulation due to distal compression. Even pressure distribution on the limb surface. Skin protection from scars and irregularities. Reduction of the "piston" effect during walking. MEASUREMENT METHOD FOR PROPER LINER SIZE SELECTION: To select the correct size, measure the stump circumference of the patient 4 cm from the distal end, then choose the corresponding size but 0.5 – 1 cm smaller than the measured value. Example: if the stump circumference is 24 cm, the correct liner size is 23.5 cm. Orliman silicone liners comply with all requirements of EU Directive 93/42/CEE (RD. 1591/2009). All necessary tests were conducted in accordance with the European quality standard for prosthetic and orthopedic products (EN ISO 22523).
