Product description
Non-locking self-tapping cortical screw size 3.5×32 mm from Mikron Medical This is a basic surgical implant designed for interfragmentary compression or press-fit fixation of classic and combined bone plates to the cortical bone layer. The product belongs to the category of implants for traumatology and orthopedics (Small Fragment System). It is widely used during periosteal and interfragmentary osteosynthesis of fractures of the clavicle, humerus, radius, ulna, fibula, carpal bones, and other medium-sized bone fragments. Design features and operating principle Self-tapping thread (Self-tapping): thanks to the threaded grooves at the distal end, the screw independently cuts the corresponding thread in the cortical bone during insertion. This reduces operation time and eliminates the need for a separate tap. Spherical head (Standard Cortical Head): provides tight pressing of the non-locking or combined plate to the bone when tightened, and also allows the screw to be inserted at an angle to create interfragmentary compression. Optimal cortical profile: fine pitch and precise thread depth with a diameter of 3.5 mm ensure high pull-out strength and reliable engagement in the dense cortical bone layer at a length of 32 mm. Color identification: golden-yellow anodized coating facilitates quick visual identification of the diameter (3.5 mm) among other screws in the surgical tray and provides additional corrosion resistance to the product.
