Product description
AO Quick Coupling Handle by Mikron Medical This is a universal surgical instrument designed to connect with various working attachments (screwdrivers, taps, reamers, countersinks) that have a standardized AO quick coupling shank (Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Osteosynthesefragen). The instrument belongs to the category of surgical tools for traumatology and orthopedics. It is used during all types of osteosynthesis (plate, intramedullary, extrafocal) and spinal procedures, providing convenient manual control, stable torque, and quick change of instrument attachments without interrupting the surgical process. Design Features and Operating Principle Standardized AO Quick Coupling: a spring-loaded locking mechanism allows instant fixation and removal of AO standard working attachments with a single finger motion (pulling the locking sleeve), ensuring secure fixation without play or rotation. Ergonomic Handle Design: specially shaped (T-shaped, silicone, or drop-shaped cannulated) handle provides a confident grip with surgical gloves, optimal torque transmission, and minimizes surgeon hand fatigue during prolonged manipulations. Sterilization Resistance: the wear-resistant locking mechanism is designed for multiple cycles of pre-sterilization cleaning and high-temperature autoclaving. Universal Compatibility: suitable for a wide range of surgical attachments for small, large, and mini fragment systems from various global implant manufacturers.
