Hex screwdriver shaft with AO quick coupling 2.5 SW by Mikron Medical This is a specialized surgical instrument attachment designed for tightening, loosening, and fastening screws with a hexagonal slot size of 2.5 mm (SW 2.5 / Hex 2.5 mm). The instrument belongs to the category of surgical instruments for osteosynthesis (small and mini fragment system/Small Fragment Set). It is used during periosteal or external osteosynthesis to work with cortical, locked, and cancellous screws of the corresponding slot size. Design features and operating principle Standardized AO shank (AO Quick Coupling): provides instant and reliable connection with any quick-release surgical handles (T-shaped, silicone, cannulated) or AO standard torque handles without play and risk of detachment during manipulations. Precise hex geometry (SW 2.5): the hexagonal working profile is manufactured with high dimensional accuracy (SW — Schlüsselweite/Width Across Flats = 2.5 mm), ensuring tight fit to the screw slot, preventing rounding of edges and wear of threaded connections.
